By going to BMWUSA.com, owners of the 2016 BMW X1 can now have access to the configuration option that comes with their cars. This should provide owners of the model the convenience that they are looking for so that they won’t need to go to the dealership to get their X1s configured.
More interestingly, we have the BMW X1 xDrive28i which will supposedly be an exclusive model that will be launched in the US. It will feature a 2.0L TwinTurbo, 4-cylinder engine that will be coming from the new line of modular engines by BMW and it will go for a max power output of 228 horsepower, which isn’t bad at all. This is especially the case since reaching 0 to 60 mph takes 6.3 seconds.
Just to make things even more exciting for those of you who are thinking about getting the latest X1 though, let’s look at some of the other features that these vehicles will come with. We can start with the option of Dynamic Damper Control which is certainly one of the biggest developments in driving convenience of late. Then we have Adaptive Cruise Control which might be either good or bad depending on your perspective when it comes to driving.
It will also come with a Panoramic Moonroof which is admittedly not all that exciting to be honest, but the new Heads-Up Display feature makes up for it quite suavely. The Traffic Jam Assist feature is pretty neat too since it basically ensures that you won’t go crashing into other cars by slowing your speed even when you’re up to 37 mph automatically. The feature will act up as soon as you are within proximity to other vehicles and will even keep you in your lane.
In terms of the vehicle itself, it would seem that it’s quite a bit taller than the previous model, what with it being 53 millimeters in height and with the 36 millimeter higher front seating position. As such, you have a bigger vehicle that gives you a better view of the road. What makes that part even more exciting is how much more space you then have for the interior. Hint: you get lots more.
In terms of the Price, the 2016 BMW X1 starts at $35,795. So feel free to get one now, go to BMWUSA.com to configure it and ride down the road happy.
