Underappreciated BMW Models 5 Series / X Series

Though it might sound rather far-fetched, there are actually BMW models that are quite underappreciated. We, as Bimmers, like our BMWs a lot. A LOT. However, it’s also a fact that in every great lineup with so many awesome vehicles to choose from, there will be those that receive less attention than others.

Just take the BMW X3 for example which is one of the most underappreciated models in company’s lineup, at least when compared to other models. As a mid-size SUV, the X3 is an excellent performer. You really can’t find much to fault it for since it has incredible handling, particularly for an SUV, and it’s quite comfortable thanks to it having a lot of space. This makes this vehicle more than practical on top of its luxury features. Still, this hasn’t stopped people from paying little attention to it. Though, considering all the other awesome models out there, this is kind of understandable.

Another example is the BMW X6 M. Hmm, there seems to be a pattern here, doesn’t it? Anyway, the X6 M has not been forgotten per se, but it hasn’t received as much attention as it should. Sure, there are the matters of its size, its price, its weight and such that make people think that it is a rather excessive vehicle that absolutely no one wants. However, it was tested time and again, and it performed incredibly well despite all of those issues.

For a vehicle like the X6 M to be able to move with such grace, poise and speed even though it’s a huge, heavy vehicle is certainly worthy of praise if nothing else. More than that, it is also a vehicle that does exactly what it is supposed to do and that is be over the top with its features.

Then we have the 5 Series GT which is admittedly a rather unorthodox vehicle by today’s standards. That is to say, it doesn’t have the looks that people are looking for these days. On that note, its performance is still top notch. It drives superbly well and can accommodate a lot of things and passengers because it is so big. Not only that, its handling is also quite top notch, so taking it with you for road trips or camping make it the perfect choice.

So there you have it, the most underappreciated BMWs in the market. What do you think? Are there underappreciated models we missed?
